BSCTC President/CEO Dr. Sherry Zylka attends Conference in Washington, D.C.

The American Association of Community Colleges and the American Association of School Administrators recently hosted a meeting in Washington, D.C. and invited K-12 and Community College leaders to join them. Dr. Sherry Zylka, President and CEO of Big Sandy Community and Technical College, was in attendance. She invited Paintsville Independent Schools Superintendent David Gibson to participate in the initiative to report on their emerging partnership. Dr. Zylka said she was honored to have the opportunity to showcase what they are doing in eastern Kentucky and the great collaboration between high schools and BSCTC. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and share issues critical to advancing strategies ad building bridges between secondary and post-secondary education.
