Due to recent acts of violence and threats in schools, the Kentucky State Police has announced their posts will be stepping up patrols and school visits. In a release, KSP said they have been doing school visits for years, per their policy, but due to recent events, Troopers have been doing several schools visits per day. With an increase in school visits, Kentucky State Police are asking parents to not be alarmed at the site of patrol vehicles at the schools and they should not feel the need to contact the school to see if everything is okay.
