This fall, the University of Pikeville’s Weber Art Gallery will feature “How to Get Home Again,” an exhibit of Roger May’s photography. May, whose work showcases Appalachia, is an photographer and writer based in Charleston, West Virginia. His work has been featured in the New York Times, the Guardian, the Atlantic, Al Jazeera America, National Geographic, and many others. His work tells the narrative of Appalachia, often focusing on commonly overlooked scenes from everyday life. The exhibit will run from August 20, 2018 through October 10, 2018. The community is invited to a reception for the artist on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 4pm to 5:30pm in Weber Art Gallery, located on the second floor of Record Memorial Building on UPIKE’s campus.
