Road Break Repairs Underway

Drilling has begun on KY 1086 in Floyd County. Railroad steel is being drilled to fix two break sites and is expected to last five or six days, with the work zone closed from 8am until 6pm each day. The break sites are at mile point 3.829, about three-fourths a mile from KY 680, and at mile point 2.722 near the top of the hill. District 12 engineer Brittany Ball said that the district and the contractor are coordinating with AEP, which has power lines over both break sites. Traffic can detour by way of either KY 7 or KY 680.
